Nov 15th Knife Grinding Class: Underhill's Edg

$120.00

Learn to grind knives like a professional! Maybe you are looking to enhance your hand forged knives with some crisp grinds, and clean plunge lines. You might be looking for a way to make stock removal knives yourself. Or you just need some tips on getting your blade to a razors edge. This is the class for you!

In this class Jacob Underhill, of Underhill’s Forge, will show you how to get clean even bevels. Good grinds is one of the more difficult jobs a knife maker has to learn. With the help of our Professional Level Ameribrade 2x72 grinders, Jacob will show you how to get the job done right! Students will get hands on and learn to grind their primary bevels on a practice knife blank. They will then use those skills to grind the primary bevels into a 1084 High carbon steel knife blank. Jacob will walk the class through the heat treat process, and then learn how to put a final edge on their blades.

Class begins at 5PM and ends around 9PM
