A Sgian Dubh (pronounced Skee-an Doo) is a traditional Scottish knife, most often worn in the sock under a kilt. This version can clip to a boot top, pocket, or belt just as well. Although really you should wear a kilt, go get one, I'll wait.
The handle is a combination of a copper guard and hilt plate with layers of leather and birch bark in between. The central portion is curly maple. The birch bark gives a natural soft almost velvet grip, making it unlikely to slip in even the wettest of Scottish rains. Do your Clan proud, whether they spring from across the pond, or call kip to other lands.
