Handle Style: Modified Tomahawk

This Viking era axe is based off historic finds from Poland dating to 8-900AD. The embellishments on the steel are my own, but similar designs are seen on axes of the period. The axe comes with a leather cover.

The handle seats on the head just like a tomahawk handle will sliding through the top and wedging itself in. A standard tomahawk handle will work as a base, but will need to be modified by sanding the back of the handle in order to fit the axe should the handle ever need to be replaced.
